With reference to the letter from this department

No. F 6348/5623/10 of the 13th September, I am directed

by Mr. Neville Chamberlain to transmit to you herewith,

to be laid before the Secretary of State for the Colonies,

a copy of a further telegram from His Majesty's Ambassador

at Tokyo regarding the possible evacuation of Japanese

nationals from Hong Kong and to state that he agrees with

the views expressed therein by Sir Robert Craigie.
